Supreme Pizza Hash

We made supreme pizzas for dinner and had some toppings left over.  I thought it would be good to use them in a breakfast hash and the Supreme Pizza Hash was born.  It was way better than I thought it would be, so here it is!

Supreme Pizza HashIngredients:

  • 2 Tablespoons of vegetable oil
  • Hash Brown Potatoes (I use Southern-style frozen hash browns, but any type is fine.)
  • Diced onion
  • Diced green bell pepper
  • browned Italian Sausage (Hot or mild — your choice.)
  • Diced pepperoni
  • 2 Tablespoons of pizza sauce (Optional, but it totally makes the dish)
  • Shredded Cheese

Equipment:

  • Skillet

Instructions:

Add the vegetable oil to your skillet and heat over medium.  Add the ash brown potatoes, onion and bell pepper.  Cook until browned on the bottom.  Turn the mixture over to brown the other side.

Then add the Italian Sausage and diced Pepperoni.  Warm the meat through.

Supreme Pizza HashThen add the pizza sauce and stir until combined.

Supreme Pizza Hash with Pizza SauceScoop out a serving, put it on a plate and sprinkle with shredded cheese. Eat up!

Boy you really are just making this up as you go along!

    Looks yummy!

Yes. Yes I am. This one seemed questionable while I was making it, but it was really good. I waffled on adding the left over pizza sauce, but finally decided that since I already used up the other toppings, I might as well toss it in. As it turns out, the pizza sauce really finished it off.
