How to grill BBQ Chuck Roast and Hot Link Pizza on a Dutch Oven Lid

This is a variation on the pizza recipe I gave you last week.  Sometimes I want an unconventional pizza, so I thought I’d throw together a barbecue pizza using some left over Chuckie and Hot Links.

Here are links to the BBQ Chuck Roast recipe and Pizza Dough recipe.  You can always use your own dough and whatever barbecued meats you’d like.

Ingredients:

  • Pizza Dough
  • Your favorite barbecue sauce (I used a friend’s homemade sauce — good stuff!)
  • BBQ Chuck Roast, chopped
  • Smoked Hot Link Sausage, sliced
  • Grilled onions and peppers
  • Shredded Cheese

Equipment:

  • Grill
  • Dutch Oven Lid

Instructions:

Here a video version of the recipe or continue down the page for the step-by-step instructions.

Pour coals around the outside edge of your standard kettle charcoal grill.  Place your upside down dutch oven lid onto the center of your grill grate.  Brush with a light coating of vegetable oil.  Cover to preheat.  Make sure your bottom vents are closed and your top vent is open.
