The Grass is Always Browner…

…on my side of the fence.  We’ve all heard the common expression, “The grass is always greener on the other side of the fence.” The problem with this phrase is it puts the responsibility of upkeep on the anonymous other.

You have the same opportunity to grow green grass.  You just need to decide to sow the seed, water it, fertilize it, and then execute the plan!  Too often, we brood over how easy everyone else has it.  You don’t know what they sacrificed to build their life. They may have overcome more adversity than you’ve ever seen and you’re still the one with the brown grass.

We all want the green grass, but as soon as a weed pops up — as soon as we run into a challenge — we give up.  We want to live the good life, but we aren’t willing to do the work.  We need to recognize that it takes consistent effort, every day, to reap the rewards.

This is why I’m excited about the being a part of the Hard Work Network.  It’s helping me to consistently move forward.  I’ve made a commitment to my own personal growth and I’m starting to see the results.

Do you want to begin making progress toward the life you want to live?  Put yourself out there!  Where do you want to be and how will you get there?  I’d like to be a part of your journey.  What can I do to help you reach your goals?  Leave your comments below or contact me directly by sending an email to Feedback@BackyardLifeBlog.com
